You should expect to spend about an hour on your first visit. A typical first visit to our office includes:
- A review of your medical history
- A full set of x-rays
- A thorough exam by your hygienist and doctor, which includes examining your gums, teeth, jaw joints and muscles.
- A cleaning in the absence of periodontal disease
Filling out your New Patient paperwork online is a simple way to prepare for your visit. It will save you time when you arrive at our office because it will provide us with your medical history and insurance information before you even walk through the door.

If you have dental insurance, we are happy to file your insurance for you. Even if we are not an in-network provider for your dental insurance, we are still able to file with your insurance company. In many circumstances, insurance companies will still cover the entire cost of your first visit, even if we are not an in-network provider for your plan.

We typically recommend follow-up hygiene visits every 6 months if you have good periodontal health. Sometimes patient require more in-depth maintenance to treat periodontal disease and will need to be seen every 3 months until their disease is reversed and their gums healthy.
